Different leather grades
Full Grain Leather – The highest quality leather. Made from the top layer of the hide with the natural grain intact, making it extremely durable and able to develop a rich patina over time.
Top Grain Leather – The second-highest quality. The surface is lightly sanded to remove imperfections, giving it a smoother, more uniform appearance while still remaining durable.
Genuine Leather – A lower grade made from the remaining layers of the hide after the top grain is removed. It is real leather but generally less durable and does not age as well.
Bonded Leather – Made from leftover leather scraps that are shredded and bonded together with adhesives. It contains only a small percentage of real leather and is the least durable option.
H B Leather Goods only uses the highest quality, full grain leather available. We don’t believe in cutting corners to save a buck.
